The Dance Factory, the Dance Forum, Moving into Dance Mophatong and Vuyani Dance Theatre, referred as The Newtown Dance Corner in Johannesburg / South Africa, have decided to join forces to create Crossings with the support of the French Institute of South Africa and several other partners. It will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 26 July to 8 August 2010. |

All South African record companies and owners of recorded music are hereby cordially invited to submit Original Music and Video titles for inclusion in the 2010 South African MIDEM Sampler. All submissions will be judged by an independent panel of music experts for inclusion on the sampler. |

Due to high demand from entrants, the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has extended its deadline for entering songs until December 2, 2009. All entries must be postmarked or sent online by midnight, December 2, EST. Within this extended deadline period, ISC will be offering some special promotions and incentives. |

Moshito rated a success- 19 October 2009
Moshito 09 attracted nearly 500 delegates a day during its four days at Museum Africa in Newtown, Johannesburg. All provinces except the Northern Cape were represented, together with Africa, Europe, Australia, North America and South America.
The official programme featured 20 international speakers and a host of South African contributors who gave their input on many of the key issues facing the South African music industry, including how to grow digital music sales in South Africa, exporting domestic music internationally, meeting piracy head on and stimulating the live music scene in South Africa and Africa. |
